It was a beautiful day for a competition and the high school Community System "kicked" off the start to their school year with the Padre Pio community winning not only two points for kickball, but they also earned the extra point for the Spirit Award!
Spirit Day 3 finalists! Class Color Day!
Happy Feast of the Triumph of the Cross! During Lent we focus on repentance and how Christ suffered out of love for us. Today, however, we CELEBRATE the triumph of the Cross over death, and how the Cross gives us hope and joy.
Tomorrow we celebrate Our Lady of Sorrows. This is a special devotion of our IHM Sisters - it's the reason they wear dark blue, and the Rosary of the Seven Sorrows of Our Lady (also known as the 7 Dolors). Our IHM Sisters have made some Dolor Rosaries which are in the back of the church if you'd like one.
Tomorrow our students will be praying the Dolor Rosary and we invite you to pray too. In preparation for the funeral of Fr. Kapaun (9/29), the elementary students will be learning more about his life and service. We are praying this prayer together daily and thought you might like to pray it together in your homes!

Wait…when are OUR school pictures?! Don’t worry, you didn’t miss it! We’ve switched to a new company this year so pictures are a little later than normal. Extra time to practice that award-winning smile 😃 School pictures are scheduled for Oct 6 (retakes: Oct 28). Watch for more details later this month.
Tailgating for Thursday's game will start at 4:45pm at the Farmer's Market pavilion. All are invited. A limited supply of hotdogs and hamburgers will be provided and everyone should bring a side dish or dessert and their own drinks. (Sponsored by football parents.) We want a big turnout to cheer on the boys as they walk over to the stadium!
