Lent is almost over and Holy Week begins this Sunday, April 10th with Palm Sunday! Our Lady of Lourdes will have our regular Mass schedule for Palm Sunday.
Our Lady of Lourdes will have extra Confession times for Lent/Holy Week on Sunday, April 10th from 4-5pm; Tuesday, April 12th from 7-8pm; and on Good Friday, April 15th from 12-1pm in the church.
Several of our A&P students participated in the Future Health Professionals (formerly known as Health Occupations Students of America) spring leadership competition. This is the first year that SMC has participated in the competition, which is an organization designed to foster interest and leadership in the pursuit of health sciences as a career.
Congratulations to the follow students, who placed in their respective competitions:
Ava Glover received 1st place in medical spelling
Jane Kerr (not pictured) received 2nd place in epidemiology
Kinley Crossland received 3rd place in the nutrition
Jace Duncan received 3rd place in pathophysiology
Their scores are being reviewed they may be eligible to participate in the international conference!

On Monday (4/4) afternoon, SME will have our Pep Rally to kick-off Kansas Assessments.
3rd through 6th graders will participate in games and K, 1st, and 2nd grade students will cheer them on!

Today our Spanish students had a unique opportunity to put their skills to use. Senorita Maria Jimenez and Senior David Main arranged for 3 PSU exchange students (from Paraguay) to come talk with their classes. Students conversed only in Spanish with our visitors.
