A reflecting on the Gospel accounts of the Passion and Good Friday...
Jesus was arrested late Holy Thursday night, interrogated by Caiaphas, insulted and struck, put into custody.
At some point it was midnight and Good Friday began; we don't know how much sleep (if any) Jesus had (Matthew 26:57-74; Mark 15:53-72; Luke 22:54-71). Toward the end of the series of trials (John 18:12-27), Peter denied knowing Jesus and the cock crowed as Jesus foretold; the rooster would signal the time of dawn (v. 27). "Then they brought Jesus from Caiaphas to the Praetorium. It was morning" (v. 28).
"As soon as morning came... they handed him over to Pilate" (Mark 15:1). In those days, morning was counted from "cockcrow", or dawn, around 6am.
"When day came... they brought him before their Sanhedrin" (Luke 22:66-71); again, this was probably at daybreak, or about 6am. "Then... brought him before Pilate" (Luke 23:1).
There was a time lapse for Jesus to be sent to Herod and back, and then scourged and crowned with thorns, all before being condemned to crucifixion (Luke 23:1-25)... around 8am. That would allow an hour for Jesus to carry the cross to Calvary and be crucified at 9am.
At the anointing and burial of Jesus "the sabbath was about to begin" (Luke 23:53-56) at sundown, around 6pm.
