THE SHEPHERD'S FLOCK...stories from Sr. Mary Grace, IHM in our Atrium
A Reflection on Epiphany for Kindergarten to 2nd Grade Students:
In last week's presentation, we meditated on the mystery of Epiphany and why the Kings brought gold, frankincense, and myrrh. Linked below is a newsletter from the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd website that offers a beautiful reflection on the gifts of the magi within the family. We strongly encourage you to take a moment and pray with it, even though Epiphany has passed.

THE SHEPHERD'S FLOCK...stories from Sr. Mary Grace, IHM in our Atrium
The Parable of the Mustard Seed: Understanding the Kingdom of God
In a simple yet profound manner, the Kingdom of God is similar to a mustard seed.
During my presentation of this parable to a group of four-year-old preschoolers, I asked "Where is the Kingdom of God?" and received a range of responses. While some believed it was in heaven and others thought it was here on earth, one child's response was particularly precious: βIn our hearts, where baby Jesus is!"

Addilyn Streeter, a sophomore, showcased her talent at the State Thespian Festival in Wichita yesterday. Her performance earned her the highest rating of superior, with two out of three judges awarding her perfect scores. As a result, she has been invited to perform at the International Thespian Festival at Indiana University this summer. Congratulations Addilyn!!

National Honor Society has been spreading awareness about the importance of wearing a seatbelt. NHS members volunteer to perform seatbelt safety checks where they watch before and after school if students are wearing their seatbelts, and log this data. We have been raising awareness through gift card giveaways. Students can be entered into this giveaway if they pledge and promise to buckled up.
