Today, our 3rd graders received their dictionaries from the local Rotary Club, and they couldn’t have been more excited! They had a great time exploring new words and discovering the special features included—sign language, U.S. presidents, states, and even the longest word in the world! A huge thank you to the Rotary Club for supporting our students' learning and growth!
Last night, SMC Dance joined alumni Haylee Caskey and the PSU Dance Team for a special halftime performance at the boys' basketball game. It was an unforgettable moment as SMC, PHS, Frontenac, and Girard Dance teams came together to perform as one for the first time!
Congrats to Eve Brown for earning 3rd place overall and the Judges Choice Award at the Crawford County Youth Entrepreneur competition today! An incredible achievement that highlights her talent and hard work. Well done, Eve!

This is a required step for all current students to secure enrollment at St. Mary's Colgan Catholic Schools for the upcoming school year. Link was sent to your email address on file.
If there were any issues with your submission, they must be resolved by March 1.
Approved families will soon receive additional communications about next school year.

Eve Brown will compete tomorrow at the Crawford County Youth Entrepreneur Competition at Block 22, showcasing her mock business "Evie's Nutrition". This was an expansion upon her FCCLA Food Innovations STAR Event project earlier this semester.
She compiled and submitted an Executive Summary, will deliver a formal presentation speech tomorrow, and there is a "Trade Show" that is open to the public. The trade show is from 11:45am-12:45pm Wednesday, February 26th and there is a prize offered to the business with the most votes received during this open hour.

First Grade recently visited the Ronald McDonald House in Joplin during CSW. Students toured the house and learned about the important work the RMH does. They also brought much-needed supplies to help families. The students enjoyed putting the Corporal Works of Mercy into action with their donations and the Valentine’s Day crafts they made. ❤️
