OPPORTUNITY TO DONATE TO THE ANNUAL TURKEY DINNER: Due to the rising cost of many items purchased for the Turkey Dinner, our committee is offering an opportunity for parishioners to donate green beans. We are asking parishioners to donate the L A R G E cans of green beans. They are referred to as #10’s or family size and are approximately 6lbs 6 oz each. We hope to receive a total of 50 cans. You may drop them off to the parish office, anytime between now and October 25th.
JUNIOR HIGH YOUTH MINISTRY IS ACCEPTING HALLOWEEN CANDY DONATIONS
Our Junior High Catholic Youth Ministry, known as our Young Apostles, is hosting a their Annual Trunk-or-Treat Festival for the students and families of our elementary school. If you would like to donate new and unopened Halloween candy or treats for the youth to hand out, you can drop them off in the parish office. Thank you for your generosity.
Donations will be accepted until October 18th.

Altar Society Fall Meeting is Sunday, October 13 at 5pm
The St. Mary's Altar Society invites the all ladies of the parish to our fall meeting on Sunday, October 13 at 5pm. We will be at the SMC Fieldhouse lobby. We will share a meal, learn some news from this year, play a game and enjoy some laughs. To help cover the cost of the meal we are asking for a $5 donation and to please RSVP to the parish office by October 1st at 620.231.2135.

SMC FCCLA members collected, assembled and donated diaper cakes to the Southeast Kansas Diaper Stock. These will serve area babies and families in need. You can stop by the Pittsburg Art Walk tonight (the diaper cakes are on display right outside of Brick+Mortar) to vote for your favorite!

Our Life Chain will take place on Sunday, October 6 from 3:30-4:30pm. We plan on standing along Centennial Street in Pittsburg. More information on parking will come as available.
9.2.24: Our school and parish offices are closed for Labor Day.
The Blessed Sacrament at our Christ the King Adoration Chapel will be reposed for the Labor Day Holiday (Monday) until Tuesday, September 3rd, at 7:00am.
Parish office will be closed on Monday, September 2nd.

People of OLL! It is now time to come and join Our Lady of Lourdes Choir! Our rehearsals will begin on Monday, September 16 at 7pm in the loft! Advent and Christmas will be coming soon! All are welcome, and you do not need to read music, just come and “make a joyful noise."
Please note that the parish office parking lot (west of the parish office building) will be closed on Wednesday (8/21) and Thursday (8/22) of this week for repairs.
There will also be some minor repairs to the high school parking lot (directly in front of main doors) during the same timeframe. This lot will remain open but certain areas will be blocked off for the work.
