This summer we will welcome a soon-to-be ordained Deacon to our parish, Mr. Paul Brungardt. Below is a message from him:
"I’m excited to serve at Our Lady of Lourdes for a whole summer! As a college seminarian, I got to lead Totus Tuus here in 2015 and Prayer & Action in 2018, but both were too short a time! This May, I finished my second to last year of formation at my fourth seminary, Mount Saint Mary’s in Emmitsburg, MD. There is a special devotion to Our Lady of Lourdes in Emmitsburg, so I think she had a hand in placing me at her parish in Pittsburg! For fun, I enjoy making music; I play a little violin and guitar. I also like to play basketball and disc golf. My favorite book is "The Little Prince" and my favorite movie is “It’s a Wonderful Life” even though I hated it as a kid. Recently, Venerable Kapaun has been one of my main intercessors, as well as, Servant of God, Sr. Clare Crockett. Please know of my prayers!"

Mrs. Angie Brill, one of our kindergarten teachers and a parishioner at Our Lady of Lourdes, has become seriously ill. She was taken to KU Medical Center and is currently on a ventilator. Angie is the wife of Brandon Brill.
The St. Mary’s PTO and Our Lady of Lourdes Kapaun’s Men invite you to join us in praying a Rosary for Angie on Monday, May 12, immediately following the 6:30am Mass (around 7:05–7:10am) in the church.
Please keep Angie, Brandon, and their family in your prayers.

Our only Mass today is the Easter Vigil at 8pm.

Today we pause in silence and sorrow to remember the depth of Christ’s love for us. On the Cross, He bore our suffering and opened the way to salvation.
Let us take time to reflect, to pray, and to unite our hearts with His sacrifice.

04/17/25: Today is Holy Thursday, the beginning of the Sacred Triduum. As we remember the Last Supper, we are invited to reflect on Christ’s example of humility and love.
Please note: There is only one Mass celebrated today, at 7pm (bilingual).
It will be followed by Adoration in the St. Mary’s Elementary commons area until 10pm.
Lord Jesus, as we remember the night You gave us the gift of the Eucharist and knelt to wash the feet of Your disciples, fill our hearts with gratitude, humility, and a desire to follow Your example of self-giving love. Amen.
Reminder: the parish office is closed all day on Good Friday (4/18) and Easter Monday (4/21).
Our schools are also closed/not in session both days.
