St. Mary’s Elementary School is pleased to announce that Mrs. Tara Wilbert will be teaching 6th grade for the 2023-2024 school year! Mrs. Wilbert comes to us with 17 years teaching experience. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Missouri State and her master’s degree in reading from Pittsburg State University. Tara’s teaching experience has been at the intermediate and middle school level. She is wrapping up her school year this year as a 7th grade English Language Arts teacher at Fort Scott Middle School.
Tara and her husband, Brian, live in Pittsburg. They have two children Charlie, a first grader at SME, and Edie, who will be in our Pre3 program in August.
Dr. Tina Valenzuela will be leaving 5th grade after this year to pursue a collegiate level teaching position. We thank Dr. Valenzuela for her years of service at St. Mary’s Colgan Catholic Schools!
Mrs. Amy Kannarr will be making the move to teach 5th graders next school year!
