Why Us?

Catholic Education

Our mission is to assist parents in teaching the Catholic faith in an environment that challenges students academically, demands high standards of Christian behavior and stewardship, and cultivates the development of the whole human person. Daily faith formation, rigorous curriculum, and social-emotional support help us fulfill this mission.

Our Classrooms

Our small class sizes allow for more individualized instruction. Every grade level has daily faith formation/Religion classes, which includes Sacramental prep for specific grades. Our high school offers a college prep curriculum.

Dual Credit Courses

In partnership with Pittsburg State University, Ft. Scott Community College, and Labette County Community College, we are able to offer dual credit courses for our students. Some of our students will graduate with 24+ college hours, CNA certification, and C.T.E.C. technical certification opportunities.

Traditions

Tradition of high academic standards, a long history of athletic success, outstanding performing arts, and excellent staff. We are blessed with continued and tremendous support from our alumni, parishioners, and community.

The Whole Person

SMC focuses on forming the whole person - intellectually, morally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually - through formation, stewardship opportunities, teachers and coaches who demand excellence, and having a relationship with Jesus Christ and the Catholic faith as our top priority.
